Brad Donnelly
Brad Donnelly
Brad’s love for music started early, with his mother affectionately calling him “Bradley Bop” because of his constant dancing around the house. At five years old, he had his first encounter with music’s power—literally—getting a shock while trying to play a record by The Ventures. His musical journey officially began with the saxophone in school bands, followed by roles in high school theater productions like *Music Man* and *Godspell*. Brad’s passion for guitar flourished in high school, where he played in a rock band called Ocean, even recording a vinyl single that was played on local radio. After high school, Brad’s musical pursuits took him to college, where he fronted an alternative rock band called The Mess. Performing at college parties and local venues, the band was a staple on the scene. After graduating, Brad moved to Chicago, balancing his career at the *Chicago Tribune* with performing in a power trio that lit up iconic venues like The Metro and Beat Kitchen. Eventually, Brad transitioned into law but kept music alive through songwriting and collaboration.
Now in Naples, Florida, Brad continues to make music as part of Voyces, sharing his love for melody and harmony with the community. He’s also committed to guiding youth, whether coaching high school mock trial teams to victory or mentoring Boy Scouts. Through all his endeavors, music remains a constant source of joy and connection for Brad.
